When an injured player ring the tower bell, the tower bell notified everyone nearby(or maybe only family members) that there’s someone needs help.

or when a bear or a griefer is in town, you can alert other family members! good idea!

I feel like there would be too many false alerts 
Unless the game lets you ring it only if you are injured

true… But that could be a good solution.
Maybe if we had some sort of hospital couch / stretcher that an injured person can lie on. It sends an alert and ppl can be cared for when they’re on it. Otherwise nobody can be on it.
Or just a bell, that works too :'D
