I was carrying an engine to install it in a well and for some reason I couldn’t drop it so I eventually just starved to death. I tried picking up another object to see if that would work but it didn’t. It look like I was wearing it like a hat. Also, when I spawned back to my camp, I couldn’t find my body or the engine even though I died in a clearing. I didn’t have this issue last week.

It always happens when you carry a heavy object for too long, like a entire large rock. Try to bring all the small parts close to well and then assemble it there.
