Is there a way to removal an established behive?
I made a beehive in a location but I want to remove it. I removed the bees inside. I hoped waiting long enough would de-establish them, but that didn’t work.
I can’t take down the beehive at all.
Is there a way to move it?
Can you deconstruct the box once the bees inside die off?
How do the bees die off? Can you make them die off?
You have to get honey from beehive. Then bees gone for a certain time(I forgot how long it takes 1 or 2lifes?) wait till bees automatically come back to beehive.
You have to repeat that again and again, till bees won’t come back.(up to 8-10times)
Then it’s possible to deconstruct the box
It is faster than that. Once you smoke a bee hive, the bees sleep for only a minute or so. Take out the honeycomb and then put the top box back on the hive, and they should ”wake up” soon. But then you need to wait a good while, maybe 5-10 minutes, before they make more honey and you can do it again.
Just like with anything, there is a % chance that the bees will not “wake up” or return to the hive…that is when you can disassemble and move it.
