Do I just stand next to it and talk? How do I know if it’s working?
It’s be cool to do a test w anyone else who has a radio in their town. I was even thinking about donating radios to the neighboring towns to be able to communicate.
But that’s pointless if I can’t figure out how to use the dang thing 
You built two different radios.
One of them is a morse code radio, something called like a.m. transmitter.
Second one is the speak radio 
The other one is still being built. So the bottom one is a speak radio? How do I use it? Just talk near it?
yes you talk near the radio. there is a transmitter version and a reciever version.
Oof. So confusing. Would anyone be willing to explain to me the diff between transmitter a d receiver? I want to make both. But the ones int the picture look different from mine. Like with extra capacitors?
One has a microphone that captures what you say, and the othere one shows the said message (AM radio transmitter/ AM radio receiver). On the screenshot that was shared above, the arrow pointing at the transmitter, you see that “red dot” to where it’s pointing? That’s the microphone and the difference between the 2.
