The family database on the Japan-1 server suffered a malfunction last night. It is now up and running again, but lives lived between approximately 24:00 and 08:00 UTC will not have been recorded in the database. When attempting to view these family trees in the app, you will see the “Network error occurred” message.
Older family lines are still there, and new ones are being recorded again as usual.

昨夜の家系図データベースの不具合について
Japan-1サーバーの家系図データベースにて昨夜不具合が発生しました。現在は復帰、作動中ですが、日本時間午前9時から午後5時頃までの家系図が記録されておりません。その時間帯の家系図を見ようとすると「ネットワークエラーが発生しました」というメッセージが表示されます。それ以前の家系図は記録されており、今後の新しい家系図も今まで通り記録されます。

Update:
We have determined the reason for the crash and are working to prevent it from happening again.
The family server on Japan-1 is continuing to get stuck and it may affect the game server on Japan-1 negatively (leading to lag).
We will start up a different server in Japan and take Japan-1 down until the problems are fixed. Family lines on Japan-1 will not be accessible during this time.

The problem can be triggered when someone reads a note as their last words (but this doesn’t always trigger the problem). You may want to avoid doing that today, until we work around the problem.

Japan-1 is up and running again. The family database code has been fixed, and the contents have been reset to yesterday’s backup. We will proceed to update all the family database servers within the next couple of hours.
