The leading to of a bridge

How do you make the thing that leads to a bridge? Not the bridge itself but like a wooden platform thing that leads to it. I’ve seen it made before but I can’t seem to find the recipe for it anywhere and have asked multiple people about it.

Saw two straight branch into small pieces (short poles). Combine wooden boards with the short poles. Hit it with the mallet.

  1. hit with the mallet it faces south
  2. hit with the mallet it faces west
  3. hit with the mallet it faces north
  4. hit with the mallet it faces east
  5. hit with the mallet you have the board and short poles again

wait what is the point of them? I am able to go on bridges without it and different direction bridges don’t affect how u get off the bridge.
