I like clothes, they keep me warm and burn my food bar slowly. But some player might not like using clothes. I gave my clothes to my daughter, it was seal skin coat. Later i found the clothes laying in the ground and my daughter put seal skin on instead. (I heard seal skin coat are better than seal skin). I don’t know why she do that.

She likely doesn’t know. Seal skin coat IS better than cape and better than rabbit skin clothes. The best though is wool.

Maybe she didn’t want to waste the coat on herself when there was a skin lying around hoping someone else would take it. She may have been working in a hot environment where less insulation is better
